"Vintage Motorcycle Competition at it Best"

For Immediate Release

Another Successful Day at the AHRMA Booth
San Francisco Supercross 2008

Norco, CA (January 26, 2008); After the first of many promotional booths at the Phoenix Supercross on January 12th, the AHRMA crew headed north to San Francisco despite days of pouring raining.  With the pits open from 9am to 12pm on Friday for setup, the wet weather pretty much made it impossible.  After locking down for the night and praying for a better forecast, 20 AHRMA members assembled at the Lefty O’Doul’s gate for credentials and pit access under party cloudy skies on Saturday morning.  With over 20 bikes on display (twice as many as Phoenix), AHRMA members were available to answer questions while promoting the upcoming national race series by mid-day.

With the usual AHRMA Legends Group style, National Off-Road Director Alex Moroz organized a special autograph session with Brad Lackey taking place at 2pm.  On display were Brad’s 1975 380cc factory Husqvarna, his race gear and trophy.  As a special touch, Brad was accompanied by former factory racer, Supercross and National title holder, Donnie Hansen.  Donnie is schedule to teach a motocross school at two AHRMA nationals this year taking place at Sand Hill Ranch and Diamond Don’s.

With his usual flair, American Suzuki’s Roger DeCoster stopped by to chat with our champs and give his support.  Additionally, Jim “Hollywood” Holley visited with his film crew.  The short interview with our southwest coordinator, Tami Rice, and Brad will be used in future broadcasts of the Supercross series.   In closing, the “First American” Jim Pomeroy’s wife Linda paid a visit to catch up on old times.

A special thanks to Live Nation’s Aaron Anderson for his help with our successful weekend.
